Romanian Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1991 being the first private orchestra in Romania, made up of exceptional musicians.
Orchestra performed numerous concerts both in Romania and abroad, under the leading of famous conductors. Playing a rich repertoire it succeeds cover the different tastes of a variety of people. It performed in the frame of prestigious international events, but also in events organized for companies, embassies, institutions from Romania.
Orchestra's members are professional musicians, awarded in national and international competitions, annually selected in Bucharest and in the country.
Although without a permanent season the orchestra had an extraordinary evolution wining the First Prize at Bydogosz, Poland, in 1994 and the Grand Prize at the European Festival in Hague, in 1998. The orchestra has also participated in the international music festivals - in Belfort, France and Malmo, Sweden in 1998 - and it has had concerts and tours all over Europe.
Romanian Chamber Orchestra is the only orchestra from Romania which won an international prize in the last 16 years.
