Lucian Calugarescu
As a child, I didn’t know what I would become when growing up. My parents wanted me to become a doctor. At the age of 8 I made a paper computer and built all sorts of things. Hiding in the closet I came across an enlargement device. Later on, I draw all the borders of a park with chalk, using a board design, and I filled the main alley with cartoon characters.
In highschool I woke up being olympic and later on, my first photo was published. I study one of the things I most enjoy, ever since childhood, and now I wish to make progress.

Philosophy graduate and currently an UNATC student, I study the problems of the modern city and particularly, the relation between them and the artistic properties of an image. Without the attachment for many work instruments, I consider this society to be codified. Photography is in this respect, especially seducing. The appetite for the philosophy behind any picture didn’t keep me away from developing an also theoretical and practical knowledge in photography and graphic design.

Catalin Dumitru
Photography is one of my passions, but also one of my jobs. I started developing a structure in the field 4-5 years ago when I used to work with an entry level camera. It was a good way of practicing and developing my theoretical and practical abilities. Once I upgraded to a more complex camera, my experiences in photography increased in diversity. In all this time, I specialized in different areas: portraits, studio, product photography and also event and concert photography.
I started in 2008 as an official photographer, attending open-air festivals and underground events. Since 2010, I started the collaboration with “Cartea de Nisip”.

I am a 3rd year student at the Babes-Bolyai University - Journalism Faculty, passionate about photography, beautiful things and people. I try to keep up with the world in everyday life - sometimes I manage, sometimes I am left behind, caught in time and space through photography.
In december 2010 I had my first personal photography exhibition „VRUUUUM...photography in motion” at Carturesti Book Store in Cluj Napoca. I am currently writting for the online cultural magazine artactmagazine.ro, covering visual arts events happening in Cluj-Napoca and I am a photo-reporter for the events site FlipFlop.ro
